Rigid polyurethane foam, referred to as polyurethane rigid foam, is used in polyurethane products second only to polyurethane foam.

Polyurethane rigid foam mostly has a closed-cell structure, which has excellent heat insulation effect, light weight, high specific strength, convenient construction, etc. It is also soundproof, shockproof, electrically insulating, heat resistant, cold resistant, solvent resistant, etc. Refrigerator, freezer cabinet insulation, cold storage, refrigerated trucks and other insulation materials, buildings, storage tanks and pipe insulation materials, a small amount of non-insulated occasions, such as imitation wood, packaging materials. In general, lower density polyurethane rigid foams are mainly used as thermal insulation (insulation) materials, and higher density polyurethane rigid foams can be used as structural materials (imitation wood).

Polyurethane rigid foam is generally foamed at room temperature and the molding process is relatively simple. According to the degree of construction mechanization can be divided into manual foaming and mechanical foaming; according to the foaming pressure can be divided into high-pressure foaming and low-pressure foaming; molding can be divided into pouring foaming and spray foaming.

Polyurethane rigid foam has the following main uses:

1. Food and other industries Refrigeration and refrigeration equipment: such as refrigerators, freezers, cold storage, refrigerated trucks, etc. Polyurethane rigid foam is the most ideal insulation material for refrigerating and freezing equipment.

2, industrial equipment insulation: such as storage tanks, pipelines and so on.

3. Building materials: In developed countries in Europe and America, polyurethane rigid foam for construction accounts for about half of the total consumption of hard foam, which is more than double the amount of rigid foam for refrigerators, freezers, etc.; in China, the application of rigid foam in the construction industry is not yet It is as common as Western developed countries, so the potential for development is very great.

4, transportation industry: such as car roofs, interior parts and so on.

5, imitation wood: high density (density 300 ~ 700kg/m3) polyurethane hard foam or glass fiber reinforced hard foam is structural foam plastic, also known as imitation wood, with high strength, good toughness, crust dense and tough, simple molding process, With high production efficiency, the strength is higher than that of natural wood, and its density is lower than that of natural wood. Wood can be used as a substitute for various high-grade products.

6, potting materials, and so on.
